#12 Time Traveler
The other day I unpacked a box and discovered it contained unused, unopened wedding gifts. I don’t know what I was thinking when I packed them up years ago.
But inside the box was a minor miracle.
This clock, despite sitting in the box all these years, is still TICKING. And CHIMING in a soft tone every fifteen minutes.
I can’t get over the idea that this clock has been sitting in a box all by itself, all those years, marking all those hours and minutes.
I don’t remember who gave this wedding gift. And I don’t know how long this clock has been ticking–either 14 years or 30 years. That depends on whether it was a gift for my first or second wedding. It’s really tacky to admit this, but I have no clue.
(clock, about 7 inches high)
(poll closes January 16)

It’s nice, its a wedding gift, and every room can use a clock. Or, it can go to one of your kids…maybe Daniel needs something to wake up to so he can get to an early class! Keep it.

It’s a very attractive clock. I like clocks, too, but don’t need another one. I need to get rid of my own stuff. Someone will be glad to have such a nice timepiece.

If no one wants it, I’ll take it. It will be so attractive on my studio/desk that I am currently designing.

OMG that is so cool that it’s still going like the energizer bunny.
My mom collects clocks and I always try to find her one that would fit with her others and she could enjoy it.
