Calling all Kids

April 12th, 2009

Finally a way to get kids to listen:  a megaphone.

When I saw this years ago, I thought this idea was genius and I bought two.   One for each kid.  I put them away planning to use them at the first opportunity.

I’ve always been a procrastinator and I think maybe this time I procrastinated too long.  I took them out finally but I don’t think my kids will hear me.  One of my kids is in college in Wisconsin and one lives in Texas.

OMG. Please, please, please. Please! I have 4 kids and my house is the kid hangout for all of their friends. Every year, I have 4 birthday parties with at least 40 kids in the pool for EACH PARTY! I am recently disabled and can’t run after the little suckers anymore. Unemployment pays me 20% of what I used to make, so I have literally NO excess money, and nobody wants to hire someone with a cane who needs naps. Trust me, I’ve been looking for months. Anyhow, I would be your humble servant if you would pick me. This is the “Brewer Crew”~
Don’t let their cute smiles fool you. The baby (who is 5 now) is the only one who somewhat listens to me. My kids range in age from 5-17. And the oldest is staying home for college (free room and board, duh!) so there’s really no tapering off end in sight! Oh Gawd, please pick me for this!!!

It’s going to be hard to compete :) with Wendy, but if you end up picking out of a hat for this one, add my name.
Our Little League T-ball field could put this to good use. We do not have a P.A. system for the t-ball games, so could use the megaphone to announce the players as they come up to bat. The little ones would get a big kick out of hearing their names announced (like the big kids do on the other fields!). Thanks for offering it!

Darryle you picked up the COOLEST gifts for your kids! I was going to ask for the megaphone to aid in teaching P.E. to my students. However…. after reading Wendy’s post and seeing her darling children I am simply giving my vote to her.
