Cluttercast: Cow on parade

Got milk?
A few years ago, I took a whimsical turn in my art—and made some mosaics including that slogan. Of course that meant the mosaics also had to feature cows. So I started looking around to buy some—and I went slightly cow-crazy.

This one is part of a series called Cows on Parade. I haven’t used it in a mosaic– and I know I never will.  Because in order to use it I’d have to break it.   I break tiles and plates and other stuff all the time. But the thought of breaking this cow breaks my heart. I also don’t have the heart to leave it sitting in its box until the cows come home.

(ceramic cow, about 9 inches high)

I want the cow because I grew up in America’s Dairyland, Wisconsin! My childhood was spent roaming the grassy fields of dairy farms. I miss those cows.

Wow awesome! I have a co worker who we call moo moo or cow ( being affectionate) so we try and find her all the different cow items for her. We both work for silicon Valley Independent Living Center in san Jose. She would love it!

Hi Frances, I saw your comment about the silk scarves. Since that item is so far back I thought I’d answer you here. I just uncovered a couple more scarves and if you email me (DarryleP@gmail.com) your address I’d be happy to send them to you.

Thank you, Darryle, for offering to send the scarves to Frances. I work with Frances, and she is an incredible person. From the moment I walked in that building, for my interview (I was so nervous!), I felt immediately drawn to her calm nature, her kindness, her warmth.

I want this cow as you can tell from my e-mail address! I have hundreds of cows but don’t have this one! My family thinks it’s gotten out of hand, but I don’t. Every room in my house is decorated with cows, my Golden Retreiver was a cow for Halloween and of course, so was I! I would be so happy to take this cow off your hands!

I love this website! And good for you for getting rid of your clutter. I’ve been working on that lately, too! But not my cows. I love Cows on Parade and don’t have this one. I would give it a revered spot on the shelf with the others. I would feel honored to relieve you of this cow!

My friend, Sandy, in post #8 is the best “cow mother” imaginable! I hope you will consider letting her adopt your cow – she takes such good care of her cow collection and I know your cow would become part of a very happy and contented cow family in her home.

p.s. love your idea of this website to eliminate your clutter and put these items to such good use – I am a professional organizer and I know how meaningful it is to find good homes for your old treasures!

Well, now I feel really dumb!

I think I misunderstood the previous posts – my good friend is Sandy Bouja in post #7, and I thought she had posted in #8 – what can I say??!! I hope #8 will forgive me for the mix-up! Too many Sandy/Sandi posters I guess! Anyhow, I do hope you will consider my friend Sandy Bouja even though I’m sure there are many wonderful cow collectors out there!
