Cluttercast: Donald Pliner handbag

February 24th, 2009

This bag was  not hidden in my clutter.  It’s been hanging out in plain sight where I see it every single day.

Sometimes a handbag is like chocolate—irresistible.  This one is even the same color—chocolate brown leather.   The wool fabric is in my favorite colors.  When I saw it, it practically had my name on it.    It actually did have my initials—DP.     For Donald Pliner.

I  love the way it looks but I haven’t used it.  Not even once.   And I don’t want to keep seeing it every day when I know someone else could be wearing it.  Anything  chocolate is meant to be enjoyed.

(Donald Pliner bag: measures about 10″ across, 5″ down)

If you would like to have this item, please let me know in a comment. If you know someone else who might like it, I hope you’ll share this and let them know.

This bag is the perfect “size” for me. It is not something that one would have to worry about fitting, because it is a one size fits all… except when the person has had cervical disk surgeries. I have had 2 of these surgeries and because of this, I have to watch the size of the bag that I carry. My doctor says that my handbag cannot weigh over 2 1/2 pounds and they weigh it everytime I go for an appointment.

Have you weighed your bag lately??? Bet it is something that you have never thought of. I hadn’t until these surgeries. There are SO many pretty bags, but I can’t have them because they weigh too much (or at least they would if I put something in them). The big bags just won’t get it. Because of all of this, I must have a small bag and this one would “fit” perfectly. It is so pretty and would look nice on my shoulder.

Please consider me for this bag. It would be perfect in every way!

My o’ my another cute little pusre. I would love to have this cute little purse. I used the tiny little pink purse on Valentine’s Day to hold my lipstick. It was perfect! I know the little pink purse would like a “chocolate” brother or sister :)

I have a good friend who would just love this little bag. Her Birthday is in March and this would make a wonderful girlie gift, she is a truck driver and needs more feminine things in her wardrobe!

Kanani saw the “little bit bigger purse” and thought that would look really cute with her chocolate hat and jacket. There is just no way you can have to many “smallish” purses.

I haven’t carried a purse since I was in my early twenties. After having left one purse in a restaurant with all my pictures (never found) and had two stolen with my cash, billfold and jewelry, I gave up on purses and just carried ID and money in my pocket. But now at 61, I am ready to return to the joy of owning a purse. I could start carrying pictures of my 3 year old grandaughter and small trinkets to keep her busy in the store. Maybe I could add a list of things to do as I always forget one of the items I planned to buy. And a girl always needs a lipstick and a comb. Your small purse would be just the right size to get me back into the fashion world of purse carrying and teach my grandaughter to carry on the tradition.
