The cluttercast is a graet idea. You get rid of it and someone gets it who can use it. I’d have to be careful, though, because I know people who would take the stuff and go put it in their storage buildings to rot.

Such a great idea Darryle!
We accumulate so much stuff in our lives, our garages and basements are full of those things we just HAD to have… and we used twice.

Wouldn’t it be easier (and cheaper) to just just borrow or rent those things? It sure would! Which is why we created BorrowMe.com. It allows people to list their stuff and wishes for others to find.

Got extra stuff you are looking to get rid of? Are you putting together a wish list for that non-profit you work for? We make it easy.

We need to get ourselves back to the days when we would borrow a cup of sugar from our neighbors. Build better communities, reduce waste, reduce consumption and start feeling good about saving our money!

I’m hoping you’ll continue with Cluttercast. Not only was I able to win something that I gave to a friend (who still tells me how much she likes her apple pin), but I really enjoy reading your posts about the items themselves & I love see what people write in. It’s also fun when you give us the chance to vote on who should get something.

It’s also made me think a lot about the clutter in my own life. There have been times when you’ve posted something & I immediately think I want it. But … then I think a little more: do I really NEED it? Will it just go from sitting in your closets to sitting in mine? It’s made me more aware of my inclination to collect clutter.

All in all, it’s a great thing & I hope it continues. Happy beginning of 2010. Let’s hope it’s a great year for everyone: health, joy & contentment to all.
