IQ test?
June 30th, 2009
I always wondered how people got to be members of Mensa which is an organization of people with high IQ’s. And this week I found out when I saw an ad in our local paper announcing that prospective members can show up and take a test to qualify. I guess it’s like an audition—-only not quite American Idol.
I would be curious to be a fly on the wall and see who shows up. Meanwhile as far as I know no one in our house has ever been a member—but if you’re interested, you might want to start with this home kit before showing up at tryouts.

(Mensa word puzzles)
If you would like to have this item, please let me know in a comment. If you know someone else who might like it, I hope you’ll share this and let them know.

I love puzzles, they’re a great way to relax and engage my brain at the same time. My boyfriend in the Peace Corp would love to have them as well, after I’m done.
Thank you!
It never ceases to amaze me what you can come up with to Cluttercast. But I don’t want this one. It will only prove I am not as smart as I think I am!
I hear you—I would never try them either!
This would be fabulous!! I’ve recently found myslef slowly losing my brain and not able to remember things easily (getting older stinks!). I’ve even signed up for 2 math classes this summer with the goal of taking the CSET just to challenge myself. These Mensa cards would be much cheaper
Hi Darryle,
My father was a member of Mensa, and took the test in conjunction with entering the Navy. But he never talked about it or shared any tests with us kids, so I’ve always been curious. I would love to have this kit to try it out!!
I love brain tests and my husband and kids would benefit from the brain exercises too this summer since we have a lot of time on our hands!
thanks!! Terri
I would love this for my mother-in-law, Barb. She’s super intelligent, but also very down-to-earth. I couldn’t ask for a better combo in a MIL. She loves crosswords and is always stumping me with new words. I think she would get a kick out of this book and also enjoy diving into the challenge
HI Darryle, 1st time commenter here! I’d love this for my summer vacation at the beach. Thx, —–Patti
Hi Darryle,I would love to give this to my daughter who a junior in college. She has loved games of this sort from a very early age. When we would go to the store to pick out toys for a trip, she would pick math and word puzzles. She and her friends would enjoy challenging each other with these.
Thanks, Denys
