Not just one for the road

I’m really lucky that my ex-husband and I have been always able to set aside our differences for the benefit of the kids.  And now that our kids are grown, occasionally when they’re both around,  we get together as a group at my ex’s  in Los Angeles.

From here it’s a 5-hour trip, and I always bring along some books on tape.   My husband drives a lot more than I do– and for every book I listen to, he goes through at least 10.    I collected some of his extras,  in case anyone would enjoy these when you hit the road this summer.

A batch of books on CD? How great is that! I’m hoping to be relocating in a few months, and will have a long drive ahead, so a set of books to listen to would be an awesome addition to my life!

My husband and I spend a lot of time in the car and just recently started getting books on tape. We would definitely put one or two or more of these to good use and then pass them along to others when we are done.

It is so wonderful that you and your ex can get along! I spend quite a bit of time on the road for work and books are a wonderful way to pass the time. And, like paper books, books on tape can be passed along after they are used. I would love them.

I would love these, I am going to be making 2 road trips by myself, these would be great to listen to while I am traveling. Also I would then pass them on to my SIL she loves to listen to books.. Thanks for the chance.

I am having major surgery soon and will be unable to do much for several weeks as I recover. These would help keep me sane, as I twiddle my thumbs, waiting to heal.

I am a HUGE fan of books on tape, as I cross states to visit my mom with my 4 kids (ages 5-17) in tow quite often. I even got my mom hooked on them! My kids actually enjoy the ride when we have a book on tape and the fighting actually (sigh….) STOPS!!! =) I would love to be able to enjoy your books on tape with my children and then pass them along to my mother, who then passes them along again and again!
